    Office 2010 key won't work

    Hello,
I had my pc guy install w 7 ultimate. No problems there. He asked if I wanted Office 2010 while he was here. I said yes. No problems there until now. When I open anything in Office 2010 I get a message saying that it is not activated. ( My pc guy is not available any more.) I installed a key finder, found the key and went through the steps to activate. It accepted the key, went through the configuring part, then just closed, I have tried this several times with the same result. I only have a few days left and my wife uses word all of the time. Any help would be more than welcome here. Thanks,
    John

if u havent purchased the version which u have installed in ur pc then there is no use . but do you have the setup files with u then do an uninstall and again insall with a good key . The pc guy would have surely given u a pirated version which was not cracked before . so install again with a cracked version and u are done . now for installation files search on pirate bay or extratorrent for some torrent .

I hope you are not promoting the use of pirated software

To the OP: What version of Office 2010 do you have installed? IF it is Professional Plus, even though you paid for it, it's more than likely one of the many pirated versions using MAK-activation, which, depending on when it was first activated, might well have worked. But, the leaked MAK keys are steadily being blacklisted by MS -- which means eventually, any copy using any of these keys is going to be Deactivated.

You should contact MS. Reporting a pirated version to them is sometimes sufficient for them to provide you a Genuine version -- but there are no promises.

The easiest way to find out is to compare what you have installed to the programs that come with each. Follow the link below and see what programs come with each version.

It is pro plus. I found it in my uninstall in programs and features. How would I contact MS to report this?
