cant open link in outlook 2007

unable to open link in outlook 2007. i get the error that "the operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this computer." I checked through control panel and it shows that i am an admin, however when I right click my computer and choose manage local users and groups, click groups, and see what groups i belong to admin does NOT show up. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

This is usually caused by uninstalling Chrome... Have you recently uninstalled Chrome by chance? If so, the only solution I've seen is to re-install Chrome even if you're not going to use it...

Any other programs recently installed or uninstalled? Must be some program that has changed a registry setting or something just like Chrome does when it creates this same problem...

MicroSoft have a fix for this problem. I would suggest that you backup the registry before proceeding:

You receive an error message when you click a hyperlink in Outlook
