Outlook 2010 - Send Freeze Up HELP!

OK need some help out there from the wise PC users with Outllook 2010. We have one computer in the office that is a PC that runs Windows 7 and Office Suite 2010. For the past couple of months the Outllook has been freezing when sending a message and I can't figure out how to fix it. We have tried reinstalling outlook, remote repair (they stated it was a Microsoft Update issue but still never fixed it after 3 attempts) and system restores. NOTHING IS WORKING and this is becoming a pain in my butt becuase I am the only person in the office with a slight clue on computers....Anyways we run our mail on a 2003 exchange server and the email was working back in December no problems. Does anyone know how to get a permanent solution or a setting I may need to change? Thanks for ANY helpful answers!

    Good Afternoon Nick,

I am the Engineer that has been working on this issue with yourself and Bonnie. Originally when we started working on this issue it seemed to be related to a add-on that was slowing down outlook to a crawl. The first time it appeared the issue was resolved as emails were sending fine. When I was contacted through the calling the card the second time I made more changes to the outlook install and did a larger repair and suggested we reinstall completely if it happens again. So as of now I suggest we move forward with the reinstall, I understand we have key for office 2010 but no media. I am attempting to locate that media for you so we can proceed. If you do locate the media please feel free to contact me through the remote chat we have going or via phone/email.

    Thanks
    Joe

Which anti virus protection are you using?
Is it scanning emails as they are sent?

CA Internet Security Suite, as far as I know it should scan as it goes out but I just had to update it. Could that be an issue?

If outgoing emails are being scanned, it will cause a slight delay/freeze.

Maybe worth checking the settings and disabling that function if it is in use. Then see what difference it makes. It is more important to scan incoming mails, so I would leave that in place.

Let us know how it goes. :)
