Maybe the audio file is not one of the supported formats? See Compatible multimedia file formats - PowerPoint - Microsoft Office
I have tried mp3 and wma they both don't work (used RealPlayer Converter to change it)
Perhaps try another converter? Since it was in a non-supported format before, perhaps it wasn't properly converted.
i just went on my laptop (was on PC) and now it is working
is there any reason to this?? (my pc is better than my laptop)
Are the versions of powerpoint different? Does your laptop have updated audio drivers and your pc doesn't? (Bit of guess work here)
dont think so (havent updated drivers since installed windows 7)
and they are both 2010 pro plus
Embedded music files in PP have to be .wav format. There is a tweak to use .mp3 by fooling PP with a .wav header: PowerPoint – Embed MP3 files
