Hi at work we use a public calendar in Outlook 2010 that is used to book the conference room. Today multiple users (XP and Win 7) are getting this error when they try to book the conference room.
The operation failed. The messaging interfaces have returned an unknown error. If the problem persists, restart Outlook.
Restarting Outlook has not helped. So far this is only happening in the public calendar. Any help would be appreciated.

Cannot use the "e-mail calendar" option in Outlook 2010 for a public folder. Using this feature in Outlook 2007 with the same public folder works.
Using this feature in Outlook 2010 for certain other public folders also works.
Comparing public folders it was revealed that the e-mail calendar option in Outlook 2010 only works for mail-enabled public folders. After mail-enabling the original public folder, this feature now works in Outlook 2010.
Hi Brettd, is this something that used to work fine and now suddenly stopped? Or is this something that has started after upgrading Office releases?
It had worked fine since we upgraded to 2010 in October and today was the first time the error came up.
