Wedogleader: I installed office 2003 pro on my windows 7 machine and then installed all the updates. I don't understand why your install did not create the xls and .doc links for your installed office components.

Can I assume that you installed all the updates to office 2003?

I have come up with another problem which is sort of related. If I create a publisher file and try to convert it to pdf via pdf creator as I have done in the past it won't do anything. I have downloaded Primo PDF and when I try that one it comes up with the error message 'No application is associated with the specific file for this operation'. If I right click the publisher file and do 'open with' it is showing that the Recommended Program is Microsoft Office Publisher. Any ideas please. Both Word and Excel docs will convert.
