To fit in with the new scenic ribbon of windows 7 i think. The new office menu button is the same as paint and wordpad.

Anyone who has installed it, does it have different colour schemes like 2007 did?
    Yes, three different color choices.
    Blue, Black and Silver

What's with the "File'F" tag on the office button?

Its still a technical preview, i dont think this will be the official public beta build. but its a newer build than what was currently out there.

regardless of whether it is beta1 (as its tag says) or just a TP, the fact is that the previous TP leaked build had an office logo on that button, and not this weird "File'F"

    File'F...

I think that may be a bug. Hence, "Technical Preview"

An obvious cosmetic bug like that seems a bit odd to have been introduced after a build that didn't have it...

Should uninstall previous "Technical Preview" to install this or just update?

It would be best to uninstall the previous Office build

Maybe not...keeping the previous build and not using this one might be best...this one has visible bugs and it will not be handed out tomorrow at the Microsoft even...based on a source a couple of pages ago
