Wait. I think ccleaner removes the reg entry that the program registers as an installed product. I think that is the problem though, that that key does not exists, so the uninstaller and programs that check for that key do not see it as an installed product. I will check on my 32-bit machine. I already ran the system restore on my 64bit.
CCleaner cleans up your whole registry and can repair it. Let us know how it works for you.

well it has the option to run the uninstaller, or deleted it from the registry from currently installed apps, tricking the windows installer service to think it is not installed.

So i just rolled back to the real technical preview and gonna stick with this until MS officially announces their Beta 1 of 2010. In the meantime, Outlook 2010 is so awesome for email threads for forums!!! It can collapse and expand like emails. No more sifting thru 100 emails just to get to the next thread!

I think the beta that "leaked" was bad. I installed it on 2 machines (32 and 64 bit) and I could not uninstall from either. Told me the installer was corrupt., even though everything seemed to run fine. Then when I tried to install the new outlook connector (which checks for outlook) it said Outlook 2010 was not installed. I didn't have any problems with the technical preview, but many with Beta1. So I am staying away from it. reinstalled the real technical preview and it runs great.
