It works for me. I just installed Word and Powerpoint, but man do they startup fast. I barely get done clicking the button and Word is already showing a new document page from a cold startup.

When i tried to change the program, i got an error saying the Program did not install correctly. Haven't tried uninstalling it yet though.
If you can't change the program, you can't uninstall it. The next way to try would be to remove all relevant files in the Program Files and ProgramData folders, but that won't remove the entry in the Add or Remove Programs. You then can use CCleaner to remove the entry.

A possible alternative would be to use Windows Install Clean Up (Google it)

Just gotta love software from torrent sites !. I'm still amazed with the amount of backdoors, trojans and what not that you guys would trust downloading software from these leaked versions and install it. Especially the operating systems.....it's way too easy to put in a secret backdoor and then the person on the other end owns the computer and all of your data.

Are you able to uninstall it?

Other have mentioned problems with this one.
There is a Cure for this, from Microsoft. (Look - it's not as if EVERYTHING works perfectly all the time, in Windows, right?)

You receive the "This patch package could not be opened" error message in an Office program

It's a little utility to allow you to selectively uninstall anything you'd like - including this preview. Careful - as it allows you to install EVERYTHING as well.

I believe the problem is UNINSTALLING. Not installing.

Just to follow up to my post. There's no way it can be real.

It may work but the following reason is why I do not think it is real.

    1) does not uninstall

    2) still says technical preview. - MS have NEVER released anything that is beta 1, with a pre-beta tag on it still.

    3) Applications that depend on MS services do not see it as being installed. (examples are: Mobile Device center for syncing, Outlook Connector for live mail accounts. Both do not even think you have office installed, but work fine on the Technical Preview)

    4) Outlook stability

I am not saying it isn't office, nor will it not work. I am saying it is not a real beta. I'll be it was some nightly build someone was able to get a hold of. The real Technial Preview does not have any of the problems listed above and I cannot see Microsoft messing up those on a later release. They are pretty obvious.

This build isn't fake. It's just flawed, much more flawed than the first release

Well, I think that this is a build they are testing, perhaps that was never intended to be leaked. The whole send a smile thing is weird though. Thoughts on that?

And does anyone know how to get the standard toolbar back? You know, file, edit, view, insert, etc.
