Help! All of a sudden, when I open a previously opened Word document, many of the sentences and paragraphs all get compressed together, in a black mass. A whole paragraph gets jammed into the space of two characters.
What is going on?
Please let us know - language of that text in the file, language of the system, font used in the file and version of MS Office.
Also, screenshot would be nice as well.
If text is not much private you can post word file too, and then delete later on.
I just came across a suggestion that in order to resolve this issue, you must UN-check "Background Printing".
You don't say which version you are running, but you will find it here:
Office 2003:
STEP 1:
Close out of Microsoft Word
STEP 2:
Open up Microsoft Word. There is no need to open the document you want to print.
STEP 3:
Go to...
Tools > Options... > Print (Tab) >
STEP 4:
Uncheck "Background printing"
Click OK
STEP 5:
Close out of Microsoft Word
In Office 2007 or 2010, just navigate to:
Options > Advanced > Print > UN-check "Background Printing".
Please let us know if it works. If not, we'll look some more. :)
