    Excel Issues on Thin Client

Not sure how applicable this is to a windows 7 forums, but i thoughts i'd ask

I have an issue since upgrading office on my thin client server, i've gone from 2003 to 2007.

whats happening is, we use 'Track Changes' function alot as there are multiple users editing single files. some of the users use thin client access to the files through the thin client server, and now when we attempt to track a change made by a user under their thin client logon, it just states the update as being made by 'Administrator'

if however we open and edit the file on a normal workstation using a network domain logon, it all works fine

its purely a thin client problem and purely since the upgrade, it worked perfectly on office 2003

    any input much appreciated

    thanks

    Ben

Regrettably I do not personally have knowledge of 'Thin Client'. However, Here are the results from a Microsoft Technet Search:

Perhaps there is something there which might help. :)

the issue was that when each new user logged into their account on thin client and fired up office 2007 for the first time, they didnt put their own user details into the software, as such it defaulted to me as administrator when i installed it

it turns out the track changes only uses the user preferences name in office itself, it is in no way secure or tied into user accounts on thin client, or windows in general. bit of a worry!!!
