Can I if need be copy the file back to C:\Outlook\Outlook.pst

Hello, External HD 500GB; Outlook file 6GB; When I copy Outlook file to external HD, windows tell me 'not enough space' while I can copy other files to external HD and I can copy the outlook file to a usb drive. Please advise. Thanx a lot,

I have 2nd copy to back up my media drive but I also wanted to backup my Outlook contact info. How/where do I add the contact folder to be consistently backed up via 2nd copy?
