HTML / HML File associations in XP

Hi guys.. I've tried everything fixing this issue, now i'm out. Please assist.

My issue is on an xp machine using office 2007, The user can't click on any links that gets mailed to her. I've tried the HTML/H ML reg fix attached but to no avail. I've ran office diagnostics but it found no problem. I've also tried SFC /SCAN & repairing the office installation via control panel.

I'm lost at this. Any Ideas.

    Thanks ahead.

Are you having trouble opening Outlook mails or even web based mails/links?

    I know nothing about XP.
My first lesson on Windows was Vista, 4 years ago.

In Vista and Win7, I can check if my main browser has all its defaults by .....

Start > Default Programs > Set Your Default Programs > click at my main browser, which is IE9. It will say "This program has all its defaults ".
If it does not say that > click Choose Defaults for this Program > checkmark on every entry under the list > Save

Do you have something similar to the above ?

The problem seems to lie with the office, I've got 3 browsers on this machine and not one of them set as default opens the links in mail. But they all work 100% just entering the urls in the browsers. I'm lost.

The IE & other explorers work fine. Links working threw mails don't. If I copy the Link into a browser it works, I don't get it.
