Unable to print document from Word

Hi, I am writing on behalf of my daughter, as at the moment she is recovering from chemo...I do hope you will be able to help.

She has windows 7, and when in Microsoft word 2010. it says unable to print as printer not installed. However, on print dialog within Word it shows the printer as ready with a green tick.
Printer is working ok as she can print out emails and things from the web.

    Many thanks

    Barbara

Hi, Barbra and welcome to Seven Forums!

Can you post your printer name and a screenshot of Microsoft Word message?

It seems to be a network printer. Is it attached to another PC?

"Barbra" (thread starter) and "wysiwyg49" (whom attached the image) are not one and the same person.

Its a wireless printer linked to a network, of 2 PC's and a laptop.

Should make no difference wired or wireless. its Word thats the problem if its printing normally away from word.

    Would suggest re-install Word.

With all due respect, I would NOT advise Barbara to rush into uninstalling and reinstalling her MS Word because there may be (and probably is) a much simpler and easier solution to the problem.

Here are some tutorials that might help to identify the solution:

Identify and fix common printer problems in Windows – from Microsoft
How to troubleshoot print failures in Word 2010, Word 2007, and Word 2003 – from Microsoft
