Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 64-Bit

You haven't said what the purpose is, but the easiest way is to just enter the very basic formula =A1 in cell E1.

As you enter data in A1 and update the cell contents, E1 will automatically be updated.

thanks for that - i also discovered that this works as well: =Sheet1!B2 - this would copy B2 Over.

The purpose is just to copy that exact english language data over so say "London" is in B2 - I also need that in D2 which would be the better formula, mine or yours or are they the same you reckon?

Windows10 Pro - 64Bit vs.10547

the addition of "Sheet" just means that you can work from multiple pages, but the nature of the thing is basically the same..

some time ago, I ran up an Excel prog to do my business accounts, and the "Sheet" instruction
featured quite often, to transfer data to and fro from the Capital and Accounting modules..

it's useful when you want to do a projection
you can update a single entry and see what the effects are..
great for passing data to a graph, etc..
