Is there a way of keeping customisation in Office?

Due to having had my laptop replaced I'm having to start afresh with a brand spanking new MS Office (2007).

I spent ages populating the "Quick Access Toolbar" on both Word and Excel with all the buttons I use most frequently (given Bill's insistence that The Ribbon is exactly what I want and therefore impossible to change!) and I now have to do it all over again!

Is this customisation of the QAT stored on a file somewhere that I can copy and re-use? This isn't the first time I've had to do this and it probably won't be the last - and it's a pain in the backside!

In simple terms though please as I'm no techie!!

    Cheers,
    Gaz

    For Office 2007
Save and Restore QuickAccess Toolbar in PowerPoint 2007
Article is about Powerpoint 2007, but idea is the same.

Just a quick further question. How often does Office save the QAT file?

Judging by the dates of those files – when you edit your toolbar.
