    Loaded office 2003 on xp and mail sve not working


    OFFICE WORD 2003 IS WORKING BUT THE OUTLOOK MAIL SVE REQUIRES SOME STRANGE INTERNET HOCK UP. So there is mail features. WHY WOULD OUTLOOK EXPRESS NOT WORK ?

    On the same system I loaded OFFICE WORD 2007 and the mail sve is using Outlook Express works like a charm.

    Wife was trained on Office 2003 and there's no way she will take the time to learn 2007. ( know what I mean) I have to get 2003 functioning as she Emails here work from WORD. ANY SUGGESTIONS, a new wife won't do it, as she has all the money !!!

    Sorry i took the program off the computer so the exact wording I don't have BUT it defaulted to OutLOOK and said OUTLOOK must be on line and a box appeared asking for Internet mail connections. I setup her email account , same as Outlook Express. It rejected this and mentioned some type of terminal connection is required.

    As mentioned Office 2007 worked like a charm right through the email process for WORD using her Outlook Express connection.
    It's beyond me sooo I will work on her to use 2007 which I have on my box. Hard to lead an .... to water.
