    Can't find Microsoft Icons on my Start Menu


    Hey
    I can open Word, PowerPoint, Excel, ...ect Files
    But I can't find the applications on my start Menu

    Is there anyway to restore them on there or should I reinstall Microsoft ?

    There is a way , Office Icons – Change or Repair , but I shouldn't suggest you this one , it is too laborious

    If you reinstall MS Office over the existing installation , you will get your office icons back .

    Now, what is most important is to retain the icons there :) . So , I'd suggest you to stop using your third party registry cleaners (like tuneup utilities) . Only one program that I can recommend you is CCleaner - Free version . It doesnot delete the installer folder (where these icons and uninstallers are stored) like the others.

This is not a big problem but is quite annoying, sometimes randomly the icons for my start menu programs will dissapear and the icon will change to the default one when there is no icon to be found. Just random programs do this and if I go to properties it still says the icon is the old one but...
