    Outlook 10 Not Responding

I started have some problems with Outlook 10 suddenly "not responding." I would reboot my system and it would work again. I've been really busy so I didn't back up my pst file. Now it's not responding and a reboot didn't fix it. I notice an Outlook update on 11/9/11. This problem showed up about 5 days ago. Any ideas?

    Thanks!

Does problem occur in Outlook safe mode?
Please press Win+R and paste there the following line, hit enter
    Code:
    outlook /safe
If you decide to type it manually, do not miss space before slash.

It started working again. I'll try starting it in safe mode when it hangs again. Thank you for your quick reply. Fortunately, I could export all of my outlook data.

FWIW: I have trouble with outlook 2010 each month when MS updates are available. I have been able to get it working properly by using the control panel/programs and repair of outlook 2010.

Keeping fingers crossed that it will again after the December updates.

It does start up in safe mode. What does that mean?

That means your Outlook is fine, probably some settings or plugins(Add-ins) are acting up.

    Outlook 2010 - File - Options - Add-ins.
At the very bottom of the window - Manage: COM Add-ins - click GO...

In the new window uncheck first item - then restart outlook. See if the make difference, repeat with every one on the list. This will help you by elimination to determine which add-in causes that problem. At last step turn back on those that not causing the problem.

Thank you. I is working after I ran the repair on Office 10. So both of you helped me find the problem. I'll check plugins as well. I appreciate your help!
