    Mail fetching

Sorry to have open a new thread for this tiny question:
    # MS outlook has the option: Leave a copy of messages on the server, and below option of how many days you want those messages on the server. So the question is, will the messages come up in as many different places the account has been set to? at work, I noticed one of the person I correspond with sometimes replies from her iphone and I can tell she uses outlook because of the fonts and signature ( )
Hope someone can help me figure this out :)

edit: also, i just set up my hotmail.com account on outlook. i want to know how can i stop hotmail.com from saving messages on the server? it wants to import some 500+ messages

    Hello Koolkat,

There's nothing that you can do about hotmail as far as I know since it's webmail.

For POP accounts, I have mine set to "Leave a copy of messages on the server" with "Remove deleted messages from server". This way copies of the messages will remain on ther email server to be able to view them from anywhere until deleted from anywhere. Once a message is deleted from anywhere, it's removed from the server.

    Hope this helps some,
    Shawn

Brink i had setup my pop account on both: my home pc and work pc, and when i opened the outlook at home, i got the mails of that particular day on my home pc & when i was at work i didn't get them there. which means, it doesn't enter anywhere you've set it to, but it will enter the place you open first. so :) anyway thanks ^_^

You're welcome Koolkat. Did you have the "Leave a copy of messages on the server" option selected on both computers? That option would be responsible for allowing the other computer to be able to download the messages as well.
