    delivery settings in outlook 2010

    Hi there
I have an email address that links with my own website so for example it would be in the format of sd@queries.com where my website was queries.com and the mail server setting therefore is mail.queries.com
The problem I am having is that I can't find how to remove a check (tick) in the delivery settings to make it so that my incoming mail is NOT leaving a copy on the server. This never used to be a default setting as far as I am aware but now seems to be. As a result I keep running out of server space until I delete the mail off the server.
In addition when I do delete it off the server I lose the mail in my inbox.
    So - two questions -
    1. How do I make my setting so that no copy is left on the server
    2. How do I make sure I am keeping the mail in my inbox/outlook folders when it is not remaining on the server.
Thanks in advance for your help.

    To sdqueries,

Start- Control Panel - Mail - Email Accounts... -
Select your account - Change - More Settings - Advanced tab - Uncheck Leave a copy of messages on the server

    This should solve both questions.

Thx that was all going great til the advanced tab - there is no box for me to untick. Might it have something to do with my Inc server being imap 143. It's set as that so I can sync my iPhone n laptop.

You hit the nail on the head it is IMAP that is syncronizing your outlook with your mail on the server. To change to pop would be a solution. The iPhone will sync using pop as I do it .

Then your outlook will have the 'leave mail on server' set so that you can uncheck
it and delete from your server when your outlook retrieves the email.
