Windows 7: Outlook 2010 cannot change my mail view back to normal from list view

windows 7 64 bit

hello, what a great little forum. I used the last thread to solve this really annoying feature - it just managed to change the view on its own. I know I didn't switch it. Anyway, great help. Thanks

Thank you very much for commenting, Tom629! I also have no idea how I managed to change the view. (I do know it was a single mouse click I made when a noise startled me.) Anyhow, I am very appreciative that my email is back the way that I like it!

single line view is based on the width of the message list - make the preview pane wider and it will go back to two lines or go to View tab, View settings - and in other settings button, change how wide the message list can be before it goes to one line.
Just made my preview paner smaller and voila.. 2 line appeared...
I just registered for this forum just to say THANK YOU!!!
