    Thank you so much for doing this! I have this exact problem. However, an added wrinkle is that I only noticed because I installed Office 365 (unfortunately had to in order to use Outlook to export emails from an Enterprise account) -- I used your reg edit and I think it worked for Office programs that are not included in O365. However, manually selecting the EXCEL.exe that corresponds to the 2010 version still results in files opening in 365 version, and the programs included in O365 still show up only as the newer version in the program lists. Any ideas?
