Help please...can't save anything from Word or Notepad

Since few days, when I want to save anything from Word OR notepad. I cannot because there is no option to write the name of the file.A new windows appear, where there are buttons to save or cancel but no place to write the name of file....completely weird.

I hope that I made you understood,what I mean??? One thong I want to mention that recently my Antivirus deleted notepad2.exe and reported as trojan or virus.

Please help me?

Hi and welcome to seven forums

Could you use the snipping tool ( built in (type snip in searcH)) to take a screenshot of the save dialog box. Also what antivirus are you using? could you also fill in system specs (lower left corner) so we know what hardware you have

I am using windows 7 ultimate build 7232. I am using AVG free antivirus.

No suggestions????

was notepad2 a file you installed or was it a virus? did you run a complete virus scan since then? Are you 32 bit? You can run the system file checker sfc /scannow and if that doesnt help can you do a restore to a previous state when it worked?

Thanks zigzag for your continuous support.
Actually I installed this program notepad2. But when I installed MBM(malwarebytes antimalware), then it removed it as trojan.

My system is 64 bits.
