    How do I repair Office 2010 Outlook.pst?

I have used scanpst.exe to no avail. The error I receive is "An error has occurred which caused the scan to be stopped. No changes have been made to the scanned file".

I have done a system restore to a date a few days ago when everything was working fine. No change in Outlook behavior.

I have used the Outlook installation disk to repair Office 2010. Still nothing.

    Help....

Also, I tried starting Outlook in safe mode and it still gave me the same error message about a damaged folder and could not open Outlook.pst

Have you tried a complete un-instillation of Outlook, and then re install it?

If the pst is corrupted, uninstalling Outlook probably won't fix it, and doing a restore action won't either. Neither of those actions will change the pst.

You might have to find a third party pst repair tool, which unfortunately aren't free.

    It should.

The inbox repair tool shows as not responding when repairing files. All you go to do is wait there for a few minutes till it says repair is complete.

And the repair time depends on the size of your PST file for how long it takes.
