What you are seeing is a placebo effect. Microsoft themselves will tell you there are only a very few, unique situations where x64 will be faster, such as huge Access DBs. I have one that's over 100 MB, with 30+ queries, and I didn't see any speed difference there. Office x64 is basically a proof of concept product, and is being marketed as such. For everyday use, the x86 should be used.

Well I work with HUGE Outlook PST files, so there you go!

It still won't matter, because a PST file doesn't have anything computational going on. I should have mentioned that I've tested this with 4 GB+ PST files, and also found no difference.

Wonder why I did then... Anyhow, doesn't really matter, you use the version you prefer, and I'll use the one I prefer.

Trust me, I'd prefer to use the x64 version too. I haven't found an add-on that works with it yet, and haven't found a benefit or a reason to be using the x64 on top of that.

Another 64 bit benefit is security, hackers have not moved away from 32 bit due to the commonality of that version, but give it time.

Never thought of that. "Security through obscurity," eh?

Welcome to windows 7 support forums,
That depends on what version of Itunes/Outlook 2010 versions you currently are using?
The Beta version of Office 2010 has issues in Outlook, because Itunes was missing the addin for outlook 2010 that has since been corrected with Itunes 9.206 which was available a couple of days ago.
