    Okay, did you install any updates of MS office recently? Via windows updates of course. Or made any changes to your computer.. installed/uninstalled any programs?

    You could try a System Restore to a point you remember it worked.

    No idea, its my dad's computer. But I think windows auto updates

    Meh... I guess I could see how much progress/work he would lose.

    Check if any MS office updates were installed:

    See which Windows updates are installed

    Follow these steps to see which Windows updates are installed on your computer.

    1. Open Windows Update by clicking the Start button . In the search box, type Update, and then, in the list of results, click Windows Update.
    2. In the left pane, click View update history.
    If there are any updates for MS office installed, probably that would be the cause. [A bad update maybe]

    Uninstall them and try repairing office again. Check if it works.
