    Can't load Office Professional Plus 2010 on new pc, gives error




    Ive tried to load over and over on my new pc, it keeps giving me:

    requires windows server 2008 service pack 2 or above...

    ive searched and downloaded, downloads dont work and cant get it installed...

    PC is brand new gateway with windows 7 home premium 64-bit


    HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Welcome to Seven Forums TheHebrewHippie. Have a look at this quoted info:

    Turned out I was using the wrong disc. I have the volume license edition.

    If you look on the discs in parenthesis. The one you want to use is (Volume Licensing Key Required) Every disc says "Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2010 w/ Service Pack 1" which throws you off.

    I was using the one that said (Microsoft Office Web Apps 2010) which can only be installed on a Windows 2008 server.

    I was using the one that said (Microsoft Office Web Apps 2010) which can only be installed on a Windows 2008 server.
    Yes, that version is for servers only
