Windows 7: I've lost my MS Office disc (and key), do I have any options?

Windows 7 Ultimate x64 Steve Ballmer Edition
I've lost my MS Office disc (and key), do I have any options?

I purchased my MS Office Academic Edition through my University. It came in a paper "folder" case about the size of a DVD case. I believe I had hand written the key code on the case. Now I've lost it.

I guess my question is this: Did they email me the key code (so I have it in an email somewhere) or was it on a sticker on the case?

I've got so many email's it will take forever to search through them, but I'm gladly willing to make the effort if there is a chance the code is there.

Please & thank you.

John Tewksbury.

Usually the product key is attached to the case (or paper envelope) that the install CD is in.

In most cases if you lose the product key you are SOL.

However, there are some programs that will list product keys of installed software.
The Belarc Advisor is one. Magical jellybean is another but its not free. There may be others.

Options for migrating to a new disc
I'm outgrowing my boot disc. I'd like to migrate the image to a new disc. I will not use anything from Symantec so that eliminates Norton. On Amazon, the negative reviews for Acronis run 2 to 1 so that leaves that out too. Suppose I install W7 on a new disc and run an image restore. Would...
