How Many Computers Can Outlook 2010 Be Installed On?

    Greetings Everyone,

    I'm new to the forum.

I am planning to buy the stand alone Outlook 2010 and want to be able to install it on my two computers. Will this be a problem. I don't need to buy Office cause I have a copy of Office 2007 Student and I am happy with it.

What is my best route? Buy it online as a download and have 1-3 installs (NOT sure if this is even possible) or buy it at the local computer store?

    Help! Please!

    Gregg

    Hi,

From the licence agreement it looks like 2 devices (computers) - the licenced device and a portable device, as long as the devices access the same account.

One Copy per Device. You may install one copy of the software on one device. That device is the “licensed device.”
    b. Licensed Device. You may only use one copy of the software on the licensed device at a time.
    c. Portable Device. You may install another copy of the software on a portable device for use by the single primary user of the licensed device."

Please read the licence agreement as linked above.

    Regards,

Thanks for the quick reply. I kind of figured that. I am planning to buy a downloadable version for my wife's laptop and my laptop. Each are one device install. I did a chat with MS and found out that the copies I wanted to buy were only $45 each. One out of the box copy is $139 at Office Depot.

I'm currently reformating my newer laptop by copying my Ghost 15 image on to the HD. I tried to use my HP recover discs and start over but that was a waste of time. I created the DVD (7 of them last night) and then tried to use them...RIGHT! I may end up buying the discs from HP so I have the base programs etc, which I really have gotten use to using...I only wish I could download my Pavillion dv7 base software instead of waiting on a bunch of discs and paying a bunch of money to boot. You don't happen to know if they have software like this for download do you?
