Excel won't start, out of memory.
This is ridiculous, I have 16 RAM! I use excel quite often and have not come across this before. None of my office 2007 will start. The program runs of the 120gb ssd. Maybe that is the problem?

Hello Frodi,
What do you have your page file set to?
Virtual Memory Paging File - Change - Vista Forums
If you have it turned off, or set to low, then that can cause you to get an "out of memory" error. Some programs require the page file to run properly no matter how much RAM you have installed.
Hi Brink, I have it set to 8192 MB.
That should be plenty, but as a test to rule it out, set it to be managed by the system and restart the computer to see how it works afterwards.
If still not, then see if reinstalling Office to repair it may help.
Oops, the ssd has none. The other 2 drives have each 8192 MB.
Thank you for the advice Brink. I reinstalled Office, it seems that the program was corrupted. I don't know how that happened. So your re-install advice was really the answer.
Check the location of your Internet Explorer Temporary Internet Files under Internet Options, especially of an IE group policy has been used. If the temp storage location is blank or not set, this can cause out of memory errors for Excel and other apps. One specific symptom may be that the system can open other template files, but not the blank workbook or other saved workbooks that began as blank.
