Hello bbx I don't know about a forum I suspect there is but you are just as well off in here.

Now did this problem just suddenly happen or has it popped up after a Windows update?

Also did you install this edition yourself? if so then perhaps an uninstall and reinstall will correct it.

thanks for the reply, looks like the usual, rebooted and seems to be ok now, should have remembered that before posting, much better and easier than reinstall, that's so harsh for a problem like this! there were no updates that I saw, but did not review the official list.

    Word 2007 Problme, mayme

    Hellow Word,

I have used Win 7 Pro for almost two years now with Office 2007 that contains Word 2007, The last several months I have noticed this when using Word, Excel or PowerPoint. Have not noticed it in Publisher, but have not used Publisher as much.

If I locate in My Documents for a folder containing something I want to edit or just look at the contents. When finished I click the X in the upper right corner to close the page, the page goes away however a copy of Word remains on the screen, that did not used to happen, now I go up and click the X to close this blank page. I have also tried to close the page with the contents using File/Exit no difference.I can look at the next 10 Word files with the same result on each one. In fact sometimes I will get a message that something happeded that Word did not shut down correctly, windows is going to fix it and give me areport, I click OK, the warding goes away, most of the time the blank window goes away sometimes I have to X out of it the same way as above.

The interesting part of this problem, if I open Word or any of the other partes of Office, then from Word I locate the files i want to view or edit then close the Word, NO PROLEMS WITH REMAINGIN BLACK PAGES. I can do this numorous times with no problem however this not as conviemient as clicking a Word file and have it open in Word which it used to do without this problem.

I paid $100 for a Microsoft Enginer at Team Viewer to fix this problem withsome others, still the same way, they have tried several times still not fixed.

I am sure a lot of you in SevenForums are Microsoft En gineers, hope you cando better that the other enginers.

Mate I can't pinpoit the problem exactly as it is a but of a trail, but pay a Microsoft engineer through Team Viewer I think you might have been had my friend

I think and I stand to be corrected use that Logmein app to do what they do. So whoever "fixed" the problem mate (unless Microsoft gone el cheapo) has probably scammed you of some hard earned money.
