"Only send" account i Outlook 2010?
Hi
Is it possible to create a "send only" account in Outlook 2010? I don't want to receive mails on the account. I use MAPI and no Exchange server.

I know how to do this in Outlook 2003. It might translate loosely to 2010. You have to edit the Send/Receive Settings and define the Send/Receive groups. The keyboard shortcut for this in Outlook 2003 is Ctrl+Alt+S.
Even with these settings, I can still receive mail on my no-reply account (and send). I have restarted Outlook.

There's nothing you can do to make it impossible to manually perform a Send/Receive on a specific account. What we are doing here is making it so that Outlook does not check for e-mail on that account when doing normal Send/Receive for "all" of the accounts. We're excluding the account from being included. That way when you press F9, Outlook will not check that account for e-mail. When it performs its regularly scheduled Send/Receive, it will not check that account for e-mail. When it checks for e-mail at the startup of Outlook, it will not check for e-mail on that account.
So, don't test it by performing a Send/Receive on that account only. Test it by just using Outlook as you normally do. Test it by sending yourself a test e-mail and then see if you ever get it. You shouldn't because that account is excluded. I mean, look at what you're excluding it from.
From now on, I leave it to Outlook to check for mail or use F9. I did not know about the ctrl + alt + s function. Thank you for your assistance.
You're welcome!
So, are you saying that it's working correctly? I mean, is it excluding the no-reply account just as you instructed it to?
