Problem sending email from non-office programs

I have a few programs I use for my business that I can not send email from anymore. When I click (and I guess calling the mailto: function), I get a blank dialog box that says error and then all I can do is hit ok. There is no more msg, besides "error". I also noticed that when I open my blackberry desktop manager I get the same message, and I can't see my profiles to sync my Exchange email. So I'm thinking there's something wrong with accessing my profiles. Any ideas on how to correct?

We are going to need a lot more information. First off the build # and bit OS your using, and you also need to go into your user cp and fill in your system specs in full. It would also help to know the programs your trying to use that aren't working. Thanks and welcome to sevenforums. fabe

    Thanks for you help Fabe.

I am using 14.0.4302.1000 64 bit and I am using the final version of Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit (my brother is a software developer and he got it early).

I am using ecopy Paperworks (pdf creator) and Calyx Point (Loan origination software). I am also using blackberry desktop manager which is failing to access the mail profiles.

I can email from all Office programs though, so maybe it's some kind of permission problem with my profiles?

    I have Core2Duo P9500 processor and 4gb ram.

I hope this is enough info. Thanks so much for your help in advance.

    Hi there
    1) first see if the BROWSER function is working

type in to your browser mailto://your.email.address@dogsbody.is or whatever it is.

    2) see if your "default" email program is launched.

If this dosen't work or launch an email program then "Houston ---we have a problem".

Try that first and then post back.

    Cheers
