Outlook 2010 - hiding tasks from additional mailboxes

I have two mailboxes added on Outlook 2010 but I only want to view the tasks for my personal account - not for the secondary shared account which I monitor as there are so many of them.

This seems to be the way to do it: How to filter out flagged emails from a specific account in Outlook 2010's task list - Super User
but it just doesn't work. It either removes all or none entries from both mailboxes.

Has anyone managed to get this to work successfully?

    Hi Lolalou,

You can remove one additional mailbox that has been added to your Outlook 2010, please do the following:

    1. Open Outlook, Click Tools -> Email Accounts.
    2. Select View or change existing e-mail accounts and click on Next.
    3. Ensure that Microsoft Exchange Server is selected and click on Change.
    4. Click on More Settings.
    5. Select the Advanced tab and then select the mailbox you want to remove.
    6. Click Remove.
    7. Click OK, click NEXT, click FINISH.

Dude, thanks for that but that doesn't help either. The Tasks properties on my PC does not show anything other than 'Name: Default' and 'Permission Level: None'. 'Folder Visible' was already unchecked.

Marshalhubs, I do not want to remove the mailbox, I only want to hide its tasks from my to-do bar.

Just noticed you're in Texas, hope you're not too near the explosion this morning and everything's ok x

lolalou, thanks that was 135 km's from me, been following it on the news. It's been a while since I have used shared accounts. I will keep looking for a solution for you.

You can have them make their task private in the bottom of the first link Share Task.

    Also look at this

    Delegate access

and review the Change delegate access to private items section

       Tip
IMPORTANT You should not rely on the Private feature to prevent other people from accessing the details of your appointments, contacts, or tasks. To make sure that other people cannot read the items that you marked as private, do not grant them Reviewer (can read items) permission to your Calendar, Contacts, or Tasks folder.
