    How do I make Outlook 2007 leave a copy of my messages on the server?


    How do I make Outlook 2007 leave a copy of my messages on the server and after x days remove it?

    Hi Vlanti, welcome to the Seven Forums.

    • Open Account Settings
    • Select the account you want to modify, click Change
    • Click More Settings
    • Select Advanced tab, set delivery options a you wish

    Changing this will not be possible if your account is set to use IMAP protocol.

    on outlook 2007 enterprise i don't have this option. i think my account is set to use imap. it's possible to change that?

    You can check the account type in Account Settings:

    If the account is set up using IMAP, the only way to change it to set it up again, this time using POP protocol, and then delete the IMAP account.

    IMAP keeps your mail synchronized; when you delete a message from server it is also deleted from Outlook and vice versa.
