Inserting a blank line in Windows 7 Excel

Finally got Windows 7 and when I started working on an excel spreadsheet, I found my tried and true Alt+I then R no longer works to insert a row. any idea if another letter will do it. After entering the R it moves me to the next tab. any help is appreciated. Thx. CB

I have Office 2013 & in Excel to insert a row in a spreadsheet use Ctrl+Shift++. I don't know what version you are using but this may be worth trying.

Alt+I then R works fine for me to insert a blank line in Excel 2007 on Win 8 as well as Excel 2013 on Win 7, What version of Excel are you using?
