Laying down new image, dont want to ruin current Office 2010 key

So, I'll be reimaging my PC shortly to Win7 64 bit, and I am just not certain if I'll be able to re-use my Office 2010 key once the new image is applied and the PC is ready to go. Any one else done this? I'm not 100 percent on how these keys are tracked, and the best way to do this. Thanks for any suggestions!

I found this article, so I'd think I could get a backup copy made using my current key and save it to an external hard drive or email. Does anyone see why this wouldnt work with a completely new Windows 7 image?

Found out that my version is easily recoverable. Nevermind.
