Word 2010 Win7 doc was corrupted, now unable to find to try to restore

    Word 2010 Win7 doc was corrupted, now unable to find to try to restore


    This past week was looking for a Word doc which I had updated in Mar 2014. Found it in Word, clicked Open and got an error message that it couldn't be opened as it was corrupted. I clicked on Ok, which closed it, thinking I could find it again when I found something on web which explained what to do. (Never encountered this before). Went back in Word today to find it and searched but it is not there. Unfortunately, had no backup of it. I followed some threads and looked for it in Recycle Bin, Local->MS->Office-> Unsaved Files and a few other threads found on the web, but still not able to find it.

    Any other ideas, would appreciate it. Or, if I need to supply any more info, let me know.

    PS- I tried to use Open & Repair but can't find the doc to use it.

    Haven't heard anything -- doesn't anyone have a suggestion as to how to locate the file? Or, can that not be done and if so, why? Sorry, but am a relative novice and would appreciate any info.
