    Transferring 2010 License from Vista to Win 7


    Is it possible to transfer a licence from one OS to the other?

    I've phoned Microsoft support before so I wouldn't mind doing that again since I got through to a woman in America who helped me with problems with my Vista License key when I replaced the Motherboard (which was really my own fault for not looking at the label on the case).

    From what I can remember it's 2010 Professional Student which came with two licenses, so as long as I would be able to recover the license at some point in the future I would be happy to just install it and use up both Licenses.

    Yes you can install Office 2010 on a new version of Windows using the same license.

    If its is a license for only one computer, then it must not be used elsewhere.
