    Cannot start MS Office progams

    Hi Folks

I started off with not being able to use Outlook,I'm getting the message:

"Cannot start MS Outlook. Cannot open the Outlook Window. The set of folders cannot be opened.
The file C:\users\xxx\App Data\Local\Microsoft\Outlook\Outlook.pst is not an outlook data file. (.pst).

I tried the repair office instruction and now if I try to access Office, I get the following message:

"MS Office cannot verify the license for this application. A repair attempt failed or was cancelled by the user. The application will now be shut down."

It's a valid installation, so what should I do please?

    I did the diagnostics suggested:

The MGADiag report appears to have been run while in Safe Mode - which means that it's not much use.

Please boot to Normal Mode, and run it again and post the new results - although if you're using Office 2010 or 2013, it won't show anything with respect to Office, as MS changed the Activation paradign in 2010, and never updated MGADiag to follow it.

Unfortunately, I'm currently only able to access my computer via safe mode, hence the report origin, and I'm using Office 2010. I'm being advised on my other system problem on another thread.

Finish the work on windows hangs after startup and then follow up on this issue.

Greg has advised you in post# 2 and post# 15 (continue Troubleshooting Windows 7 Failure to Start).
