When I look up alt codes online I see a completely different set of codes than my computer is set to.
For example when I press alt-± I get nothing, but alt-0177 gets "±", But when I try to get the parallel sign which is listed as alt-∥ nothing, so try alt-0871 I get "%" and it's like this for a lot of things.
Any help on getting an accurate list?

Hmmmm, didn't have everything I wanted. I decided to just have a saved file with all the symbols I regularly use, and rely on copy/paste.
