Click on the Windows Start Orb (lower left corner) and click Run.
Manually type in msconfig and click OK.
If you have an entry for MS Office Starter in the Startup Tab, uncheck it, and re-boot.
    Does that help ?

What's the reason. What exactly are you trying to accomplish.

Before getting into more complicated ways to disable this, it's best to answer whs's question in post #3.

But for that you need not disable Office. Do you encounter any problems during your tests ??

What I understand from this reply is that, it is impossible to disable the Word Starter and only un-installing is possible?
