    Navigating the Navigation Pane

Microsoft Word's Navigation pane theoretically has keyboard shortcuts associated with the right-click menu items available there, e.g.:
    • Alt-E: Expand All
    • Alt-C: Collapse All

In particular, I'd like to know the shortcut sequence to collapse the heading levels displayed to 2. The sequence indicated is Alt-H,Alt-2.

The problem is that I can't figure out how to initiate these shortcuts within the context of the Navigation menu. For instance, when the Navigation pane is active and I use Alt-H, it still shifts focus to the Home tab (the "global" binding of Alt-H).

How can I use keyboard shortcuts to access the menu items in the Navigation pane?

    Thanks,
    Barry

Lots of information about keyboard short-cuts here:

Sure -- there's tons of information available on keyboard short-cuts. However, with respect to the two links you provided: they only contain information on Navigating the ribbon (which is easy) and using Ctrl-F to open the Navigation pane. There's nothing there about how to apply the shortcuts indicated in the Navigation pane's context menu.
