    MS OneNote

For some i8nexplicable reason, every time I turn my computer on, up pops Microsoft One Note. Short of removing it from my programmes list altogether, how can I turn it off please?? See screen shots attached.

    Cheers,

Check that One Note is not showing in your Start up Folder. To do that click on the Start Button & select All Programs & scroll down to Start Up & click on it & see if One Note is showing there. If it is just delete it. Then re boot the computer.

Also if you don't want the One Note Icon on the Task Bar, open One Note & click on File & select Options, then click Display & untick "Place One Note icon in the notification area of the Task Bar". Close One Note & reboot the computer again.

Why does MS One Note keep opening up on my computer when I haven't asked for it and how do I stop it doing so without uninstalling the programme please??

I have been trying for the last two weeks to stop One Note opening when I have opened my computer. I have been to Programmes>MSCONFIG>START UP screen and un ticked the relevant box. I have checked the All Programmes List>Start Up>Empty. So why does it keep starting up without me asking for it and how can I stop it or failing that, in desperation, how do I uninstall One Note please. It doesn't appear on the "Un install a Programme" list.

    All the best,

This should help you with that,

    https://support.office.microsoft.com...rs=en-US&ad=US

It does say you cant just uninstall one part so you may have to uninstall the whole thing and do a custom reinstall leaving One Note off of the options to install.

Please don't start another thread when you have one going already.
