how 2 rid 2nd blank page in a word doc when printing

I made a word doc with pics and it and the txt and pics took up the whole page so it creates a second page. But i wanted to print it on one sheet. So i reduced everything so it fit on one, but the second page remains there and is blank. When i print it it prints a blank page for every one of the pages with the text and pics. i need to print many so this is a problem. I even tried shrinking everything just as a test till it took up only 1/2 the page, yet still the blank page 2 will not go away. How can i remove it from this doc so it doesn't print that blank page? I think it's word 2007.

Doc apparently has embedded spaces or invisible code-characters. Try telling printer to only print page 1, not all. Sometimes, I will goto the bottom of page 1, and delete, delete, delete some more until my cursor can go no more to the right or down. Then save. Then print only page 1.
