Windows 7 HOme Premium 64 bit
Click to run won't allow installation of Office 2010 (from CD)

My friend (not computer savvy) had Office Starter 2010 and Office 2010 Eng and suddenly was unable to open any of her office documents. She uninstalled both office products but Click-to-run started showing an error message. She tried to uninstall click to run using all the steps on as well as other help sites. SHe keeps getting the "The action cannot be completed. Please try again.etc.etc."CTR is keeping her from installing the Microsoft 2010 CD she bought to replace Starter. Any ideas how to address this?

Maybe these pages will have help:
Note that the 64-bit version of Office will not work if any 32-bit version is installed, had the problem when installing Office 2010 64-bit and had to remove FrontPage 2003 which is 32-bit. Office 2010 is the first to be available as either 32-bit or 64-bit.

Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit sp1

As well as Berton's suggestions this website may help. Where it says towards the end to install Office Starter you could install your Office 2010 Click To Run from the CD.
