Office 2010 Home & Student - Outlook and Visio Updates

Why do I get updates (via Microsoft Update) to Outlook and Visio when these two programs are not part of Office 2010 Home & Student?

If Outlook/Visio are on my HD as trial versions, any way to remove them permanently? I don't intend to use either one...

    Thanks.

It's my experience that Microsoft includes all updates for the Office applications, simpler than trying to figure out what users actually have installed. It's complicated by the ability to Custom install only those parts the user wants regardless of what the suite includes.

I've only seen Visio as a separate install, mine is a separate downloaded file. Outlook is part of one of the more complete versions of Office [by more complete I mean more expensive].

Berton, thanks. Still looking for a tweak to avoid having all those 'not-asked-for-updates' downloaded, but, am afraid that I can't win this one. Oh well!

You're welcome, CBA. There's an old saying that could apply, "Don't fight city hall", or in other words there's better fights out there.
