    Thank Tookeri,
VBA (in Office 2003) has been famous for instability (Excel in my experience, Word was far more stable), due mostly to bloat by VBA procedures/modules/classes/forms etc.
This tool will be very handy and it finally reveals that MS Office is not perfect. But then what app is !

I am still using 2003, and recently 2007.
    - I have squirreled 2010 away until I can not use 2003/2007 any more
    - the ribbon and dropping VBA support (post 2010) that has forced me to admit its time more me to retire. 70 not out ... yet

The downloads in the OP link didn't work for me with Pale Moon.
No error message, nothing happened when i tried to download.
I tried IE11, and downloaded with no problem.
Probably something in my PM "security" setup that blocked them.

I installed this tool, and ran the initial diagnostics ...
Now, whenever I open Excel, OffCAT_RTS.exe starts automatically.
I see this is an Excel addon (probably all Office programs).

Is there a way to disable this addon so it does not start automatically ?
Or, does it need to be uninstalled so it won't always run automatically ?

I did install & run it, but I found it really did not make any difference to any of the programs. It seems to add extra things to Office programs, so I ended up uninstalling it.
