MS Works Spreadsheet is empty

    MS Works Spreadsheet is empty


    When I open 2 Works Spreadsheets I get an error message. Other Works SS open OK.
    If I click the X to close the error box an empty SS appears, yet there is data there. (16k).
    The title says "Unsaved Spreadsheet".

    You have marked this as Solved. Did you actually get it solved & what did you do to fix it. From what I could see from your post was that you were trying to use an invalid file name to name your spreadsheet.

    I found the problem. The main folder where the SS is has the title PRO-652. To make it first in the long list of folders I added a period before the title. After trying many things, I removed the period and - VOILA! - the SS opens as it should and all the data is still there.
